  • What days and hours are you open?

    • The Hyde Park Food Pantry is open every Friday, 9:00 am - 11:30 am. The Gates close at 11:15a.m.. Guests who have come through the gates before 11:15 will be served.

    The Hyde Park Food Pantry is closed whenever HPCSD has a 2 hour delay or a closure due to inclement weather.

  • Who is eligible to receive food from the Food Pantry?

    • Anyone who lives within the Hyde Park Central School District and is eligible to receive food can register with the Hyde Park Food Pantry.

  • Do I need to fill out any forms?

    • Yes, upon registration during your first visit, a member of the Food Pantry will ask you a few questions on a TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) form and a Yearly Client Intake form.

    • The information is kept private.

    • What paperwork do I need to bring?

      At your first visit, we will tell you what you will need to bring for your next visit. No one is required to show ID or Proof of Residence at their first visit, but we will need to fill out a TEFAP (The Emergency Food Assistance Program) form at the first visit. So Proof of Residence and Photo IDs are required after the first visit. We will ask you for this information and fill out a new TEFAP form once per year.

  • *Proof of Residence (physical address)

    within the Hyde Park Central School District (not a PO Box) From one of the following for EACH Household Member that resides with you:

    • *Signed Rental/Lease Agreement

    • *Utility Bill

    • *Phone Bill

    • *Cable Bill

    • *Tax Bill

    • *Mortgage Statement

    • *Medical Bill/Medical Letter

    • *Social Services Letter

    • *Report Card

    • *Vaccination Record

    • *Record of Live Birth (Birth Certificate w/address)

    • *Letter from HPCSD or DC College

    • **SNAP Benefits Letter

    • **Medicaid Benefits Letter/NYS of Health Letter

    • **SSI Letter of coverage

    • **WIC Letter of coverage

    • **TANF Letter of coverage

*PLEASE NOTE:

SNAP EBT CARDS, MEDICAID CARDS AND PHOTO IDs DO NOT COUNT TOWARDS PROOF OF RESIDENCE.

*Proof of Residence Letters MUST CONTAIN: NAME, ADDRESS, RECENT DATE for EACH Household Member

*Photo ID is required for Every Household Member who is age 18 and up

How can I volunteer for the Food Pantry?

Please email us at HPFOODPANTRYDC@gmail.com and tell us of your interest and include your best contact phone number.

We will reply as we are able and send you a volunteer application. If you would like the volunteer application mailed to you, please include your mailing address.
